Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of the Gregorian. But there’s some great ideas here that are fun to daydream about!
12 30-day months per year. That’s pretty standard. But what about the other 5/6 days? Just fill in the overtime with a few days at the end. That week becomes a sacred holiday!
But the weeks is really where we’ve got some innovation. Each month split into 3 10-day weeks. Sounds long, but you could do all sorts of stuff with them! You could have a day off at the beginning, middle, and end. You could do 6 days on, 4 days off. You’d obviously have to run the numbers to see how things best fit together, but 10 days instead of 7 might have some real interesting benefits.
Maybe people would start to change their thought, to be more long-term. Plus, a week off is a really big deal when it’s 10 whole days!
It’s a shame things are so standardized now, since ideas like this will never really have a chance. In any case, fun to think about!
